D&C gas pains?

I had a D&C on Monday and today I have horrible gas like pains. I also was just spotting old blood and today is bright red. Anyone else experience something similar? The pain isn't constant and I'm hoping it just "passes" :-)

    Hey Skimmy - I experienced these symptoms too.  

    A few days post-op I started to feel the pains you're describing.  I was told that the painkillers they prescribe (i.e. vicodin) can have a nasty effect on your body - as can large amounts (or frequent amounts) of Advil.  After learning this, I switched to Aleve which helped tremendously.  Heating pads and drinking a lot of water seemed to help me too.

    As far as the bleeding goes... That also happened to me.  I had almost no bleeding for a few days following my 2nd D&C (I had to have two) and then it started up almost like a period.  That lasted about a half day until I passed what was either a larger blood clot or little bit of tissue.  As soon as that happened, the bleeding nearly stopped - as did the pains.  Which is the good news.

    Sorry for the TMI... but through this I think I have lost all sense of vanity!  :-)

    I had the same thing.  A heating pad and some Percocet got rid of them pain ;)

    I had the worse gas pains- almost dehabilitating!  I took some milk of magnesia (not sure of spelling)- you can get it from CVS- it helps you go to the bathroom which alleviated my situation!  (Sorry if TMI)

    OMG, gush 2 days later?  I've had really nothing for two days now (D&C on Tuesday), and I just switched to a pantyliner, now I'm thinking I need to switch back to something bigger!

    I'd wait at least a week or more before switching to a pantiliner.  I wore one to bed 6 or 7 days in and woke up with huge clumps and blood all overy my sheets (although a pad probably wouldn't have kept it all in either).  Sorry for the TMI...it really was unpredictable and I'm still spotting 3 weeks after my D&C
