Old Navy Maternity

How does Old Navy maternity sizing run? It is big like their normal clothes? I've previously alway worn a small, possibly a medium at the very very end of pregnancy. Based on their sizing, I should buy Mediums. (I wear size 8 pants pre preg, and small-medium sized shirts.)

I'm not sure, but I was in the store this past weekend and they had a small maternity section. Everything seems to resemble a toga or bed sheet. It was SO not my style.

I got a bunch of clothes from friends and all the old navy stuff seems pretty true to size. If a fabric is really stretchy/clingy you might want to go up a size.

I ordered a pair of the full panel pants in a M. Pre-pregnancy I was size 6 or 8. They were tight in the thighs and the band was already tight on my belly (my belly isn't that big yet). So I sent them back to exchange for a L. Haven't gotten the L back yet, but hoping it will fit better. From that one experience, I would say they run small.

I have had a terrible experience with Old Navy and Old Navy Maternity recently. What I've found more than anything, is that their sizing is wonked. I ordered several of the same shirts, same size, different colors. One fit, one was HUGE on me, and one I couldn't even get over my boobs. Seriously? WTF?

My Mom just bought me this cute fall jacket from there. She picked a small which is my normal size and it fits perfect. Of course I can't wear it until I get much bigger but it's the perfect fit everywhere else.

This is my experience as well. I normally wear a medium bottom and a large top. I can wear their medium tops and still feel like they are too big for me.

I ordered 2 pairs of maternity pants from there - one pair was fleece lined yoga pants the other was a pair of capri. Pre pg I would have worn a size 4 so I ordered the small maternity size. The yoga pants fit ok although before long I think they might be too tight on my belly (which is pretty popped out right now at 21 almost 22 wks). The capri's I couldn't even get past my thighs and I haven't really gained any weight there at all - it's all in my belly. I say just be prepared to have to return some stuff - unless you can find it at the store and then definitely try it on before you buy!

the jeans i have gotten were perfect. if you go by there sizing chart online for prepreg to preg its accurate.

All of my Old Navy Maternity clothes have been second hand so I don;t know if the sizing is right for me, or if the clothes were big but have been shrunk by the previous owner. I was a size 6 pre-preg and I'm wearing a Small in everything. If you do go with a size bigger in pants you can always get a belly band.

Pre-pregnancy, i'm an 8 for pants and usually a medium for tops. I ordered a bunch of stuff online from Old Navy maternity and the Medium tops are HUGE. I definitely should have went with small for tops. The Medium pants seem to be ok, but FYI - i hated the material of the "perfect khaki" pants - it was really stiff and i returned them. I like the gap maternity pants much better.

For me the tops have been true to size, but the bottoms are hit and miss. I can try on 3 pair in the same size and they won't fit the same. My usual problem is that they are too slim in the thighs. But I also found one pair that fit well in the thighs and fell off of the belly.

I'm getting size small for the tops and size 8 for the bottoms. I'm normally a size 6. I just wanted some room for growing thighs and butt.

BTW- I found their medium size tops to be HUGE. And I often get medium of their regular clothes. Just my 2 cents.

Pre-pregnancy I am a 6 or 8 in pants and small in tops. In my experience, the mat clothes are huge. I ordered 2 size med dresses, and I still can not wear them. I tried on med tops and they were also huge. As far as pants, I never wear pants so I can't help you there. GL!
