My answer is bad...I haven't gained anything, just lost 13 lbs. But I had severe m/s- gravartium something or other and had to get fluid iv's mulitple times. I think I just started to gain some back- like 2 lbs. So I'm still down 11lbs.
Hope this makes you feel better...I gained about 20 lbs between weeks 5 and 12 and then maintained for 2 weeks and have since gained another 7. So in total, I'm up 27 lbs and in week 16...ughhhhh!
I gained 6 pounds last month. ?Up until that point, I'd only gained 5 pounds the whole pregnancy. ?My doctor said it was about time I started gaining some weight.
Well, in the past 5.5wks I've gained 11lbs. Does that make you feel better?

UGH! dont even get me started on this, I thought I had only gained about 15 pounds, when I went in last week for my 20 week appt my midwife said I have gained 23 pounds since my first visit, she rolled her eyes and said that I have gained too much. WTH! I know I am not fat, yeah I have eaten way too many french fries. She then persisted to let me know that I have 20 weeks left and a pound a week from here on out. GRR! I guess I assumed this would be the one time I wouldn't have to hear about weight.
of course I am writing all of this now while eating an ice cream sandwich one for my employees just gave me.
i say dont worrry about the gain!

Since we're all sharing, how much did you gain that makes you feel like you need to be comforted??
I have gained a total of 20 pounds so far! ?At each appointment I have gained between 3 and 6 lbs. ?I think I may beat my own record at my next appointment.
With my DS my doc commented on my weight gain one appt. ?I think I had gained 6lbs. She said something in front of my husband and I was so embarrassed, even though I know I shouldn't have been. I have a history of weight issues and have always been underweight or more recently a normal healthy weight. ?I am always scared they are going to say something again. ?
I gained 11lbs between weeks 8 and 12. I almost cried.

i think i gained a lot before my first appt, where i weighed 128. i now am at 134, but im pretty sure i was at most 125 when i got pg. so 3 pounds in a few weeks? sorry if that isnt comforting, i look like ive gained more!
At my 20 wk appt I had gained 9 lbs. The one of the nurses (obviously new) made a big deal about it - like "OMG, 9 lbs!" I wanted to throat punch her. The other nurse didn't think it was a big deal at all and my Dr. said nothing about it.
Between 5 weeks (when we found out I was pregnant) and 10 weeks I gained 1lb.
Between 10 weeks and 16 weeks, I gained 10 pounds!! I DID cry! My doctor said it is kind of a lot, they like to keep it around 1lb a week, but she said I "needed it".
Like you, I have always been under weight, even now with my 10lb weight gain, I'm still under weight for my height, but it still came as a shocker!

I've gained 31 already total. My doc wasn't worried at my last appt because my blood pressure is great and I exercise every day. Some people just gain more.
Okay, so I haven't paid any attention to the lbs. gained per month, but I went in at my 24 week appt and found out I'd gained a total of 27 lbs. Yikes! I got the "we don't encourage pregnant women to diet, but...". Honestly, I don't see where I've gained that much weight, but whatever. So, now I'm watching what I eat and trying to maintain.
Sorry you're feeling down, but know you're not alone.
I gained 10 in one month and got the lecture. I was upset and tried to really watch what I was eating and it made me a miserable pregnant woman. I'm over it. I just want a healthy baby, so that's all that matters.
I gained 6lbs last month. Our little lady had a growth spurt! (I blame it on this because NOTHING else about my diet/lifestyle changed... except that I started walking MORE.. lol)
I had been holding steady at the same weight since my first appt. (up 5 - 10 lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight) but then had a major growth spurt just before my 20 wk. appt. I was kind of freaked out to see that I had gained 13 pounds so quickly, but my doctor said she wasn't worried at all and that I was still well within the healthy weight gain range.
Re: I know everyone hates weight posts but what is the most you have gained in one month?

9lbs between 12wk and 17wks.
10lb
It seems pretty common to have a big jump in weight around the 20 week appointment
Since we're all sharing, how much did you gain that makes you feel like you need to be comforted??
I normally don't reply to weight posts, but I just had a bad month and know how you feel - so I'll share.
Nothing through most of first tri.
3 pounds between weeks 10-14
4 pounds between weeks 14-18
8 pounds between weeks 18-22!!!
My doc did express concern over 8lbs in 4 weeks, so now I'm officially a cranky pregnant woman trying to balance "not dieting" with "weight watching."

I just had my 22 week appt and gained 9 lbs. I almost fell over!! The dr said typically you will have one month where you gain alot. It sucks :-(

I have gained too much and I am a petite so it shows. Trying to walk it off when I get the energy. It is scary to gain so much at barely 17 weeks.
