Underwear

For those of you who have needed to purchase new underwear, have you gone up a size or just bought maternity underwear?

My current underwear is becoming very uncomfortable, but I really feel like if I just went up a size, but stayed in the same style I will be alright. I was just wondering what yall have done so far.

Re: Underwear

  • I just went up a size (or two by the end of pregnancy) and got some low rise Hanes cotton ones.  They are comfy and pretty cheap as you get them in packs of 3 generally.  By the time you are done with this pregnancy they will be pretty worn out so you don't want to spend a ton of money anyway.

  • I just bought a bigger pair of underwear the otherday (granted they were a different style) but I don't think they'll work.  But personally, I don't want to buy maternity.

This is a good question, I would like to know what other people are doing as well!

  • I will most likely go up a size in the next couple weeks.  I put mine on this morning and realized half my arse was hanging out--so unattractive and uncomfortable!

  • I'm using Maternity thongs from Motherhood.  They were pretty inexpensive and are very comfortable - just have a stretchier top elastic and ride lower than my regular underwear.

  • I purchased pregnancy ones. I like them but ditto on the riding lower part. A little TMI but they fall lower than my hairline so strands stick out.

I'm very picky when it comes to underwear because i can't find anything that ever fits or feel comfortable. I wear Victoria Secret underwear and they are usually 5 for 25 i started out there as a xs and went up to a medium at week 8 and i still havent grown out of them at week 18 so i highly recommend them. They feel awesome and dont tear or snag like normal store bought stuff..P.S i wear the boy short kind so they stay better on my body

  • I stayed with my same size but changed from thongs to bikini briefs, I still wear thongs with certain outfits. I haven't grown much.

  • I hit up a great underwear sale at Sears this past weekend...I got one size bigger and a more comfortable cut than I usually wear.

    Boy, are they fantastic :)

  • I got some maternity undies from The Gap - I LOVE THEM! They are sooooo comfy. Super stretchy and they sit low, so no cutting off any circulation.

  • So far I have seen no need to buy new underwear?  I wore very low rise thong and bikini before and they still fit fine.  I'm not sure when I will need new ones, if ever.

So far, I am wearing some of my old ones and some maternity ones.  However, since my pregnancy with DS, I can not stand to wear the ones with elastic and have gone up a size from normal.  I really like the Gilligan & O'Malley ones from Target

  • I bought some maternity underwear recently that are made out of the same spandexy material as the secret belly... they are WONDERFUL.  I like them even more than my low rise cotton underwear.  I'm actually going to pick some more up tonight.
