Very silly, non-GP-related question. (I just want someone else's opinion!)
I need to drop a few pounds (no more than 5) so clothes will fit better. Do you think I can lose weight just by cutting back on my eating a bit (nothing drastic - just eating healthier, not snacking as much) or do I need to step up my exercise? I currently walk the dog every day for 20-30 mins, and do some light strengthening exercises 4 days a week.
Edited because "strengthing" is not a word!

So glad you asked.. I had been thinking of waiting for flame-free Friday.
Do you know why Pom juice and pineapple core are thought to aid fertility?
Also, is it really pineapple core and not just pineapple?
Bromelain decreases blood clots which is found in the pineapple core. You can always eat the pineapple too, but the core is what has the bromelain in it. Make a smoothie!

I've been very worried lately that something is wrong...did you feel that way? I'm hoping its just because it's natural since some of my 1st tri symptoms started to subside...and not for any other reason. Everytime I see someone in their 2nd tri that had a problem or a m/c I get even more anxiety! What do you think?

I did a diet called the 'cereal for breakfast' diet that I invented myself. I'm lazy and didn't want to actually diet or kick up the exercise (er...by that I mean BEGIN exercising). So I decided to improve just one of my meals - breakfast. Instead of eating my usual bagel, waffles, or pancakes for breakfast I ate healthy cereals. It worked - I lost 8 pounds.
And Lemon...I apologize. Apparently I can't read questions without answering them. It makes my fingers twitch.

I lost 20lbs on weight watchers before I got pregnant because I started to eat healthier. I added no more exercise then I was doing before so I totally think you can do it!

I completely understand and have been there. Try not to stress to much. Once you start feeling your little one move those feelings will get less and less. Hang in there girl!

Do you recommend ever taking a charting break, and if so, how long into the TTC process and why? Thx :-)
I have long irregular cycles before Miles so I think stopping charting would have been more stressful for me then charting. Its really a personal choice though. If you need a break, take one!!

Does anyone know about scar tissue & ttc? I know its damaging, but specifically what procedures cause the most trouble? Or symptoms of scar damage (aside from getting checked out at the gyn.)?
I think I'm confused because I'm not sure what you are talking about

I'm sorry, that was vague. I had to get several procedures done for biopsy/cancerous cell removal and I most likely have cervical scar tissue. I JUST read that scar tissue is very damaging for ttc, and now I'm all concerned.
Just wondering if there were any signs I should look for or if anyone has experienced this.
I don't have any scars on the inside from of my cervix, but do have endo so that causes scaring. Is the article saying that it will take longer to get pregnant? I know with endo my doctor was telling me not to be surprised to be trying for over a year. It actually only took us 5 months to get pregnant. As for scars on the skin of your belly (not sure if you have any) I can tell you about that. I had lap surgery for endo and also to get my gallbladder removed. The scars got really stretched and red, but now I can barely see them. Baby Miles helped those go away! Guess it stretched out the scar tissue so they aren't raised anymore.

I was wondering wtf is going on with my chart? The week that I was "supposed to O" I was on vacation sleeping in a room that was very cold at night with a fan blowing on me (cold like 40-50 degrees cold). What would you do if you were me? When would you test, or should I just wait?

I had precancerous cells in my cervix and had a biopsy as well. (2 colpos and a LEEP). I had to be 3 yrs in the clear to ensure everything was ok and they had been monitoring me while TTC.
Ask your dr about it. I was able to get pregnant (after 4 cycles, which is not the norm) Again, consult with your dr, tell them of your plans, any concerns you may have.

The article listed scarring of the uterus/cervix it as one of the worst threats to fertility. One of the first questions I asked the doctor before she performed the procedures was, "Will this affect my chances to have children?" and she said no. I'm upset that I was misinformed.
I've barely ever have CM, which I just found out is a symptom of cervical scarring since it hurts the membranes. Just curious since I can't find many reliable resources on the web and now i'm planning on getting a new doctor.
I was hoping someone may have experienced this and had good news. Oh well! Thanks for your help though
I bet if you asked this in a separate post you would get some answers from people that have been through this aubie has I think.
Edit: I see she has already answered, lol

Re: Anyone have any questions that need to be answered?
I had an epi, but it didn't help the pressure and I'd say that was about a 5 or 6. I have no clue what labor would be like with out an epi though.
Labor/delivery was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'd say...7-8. (I had an epidural, but it wore off 3 hours before pushing).

I "get" it in context, but what is it an acronym for?
That's tricky because it kinda looks like you Oed.

I've used it before, I really like the way it feels. Now that being said, Miles was a KY Jelly baby, so getting KU can happen with ky jelly too
Oh me, Lemon, choose me!
