when was the earliest that the h/b was seen in u/s

I'll be 4.5 weeks when I go for my first OB appointment thsi week. I was wondering if they send me for an u/s, would there be ANY possibility that it could be seen???

The heart starts beating somewhere around 30 days after fertilization. I believe that's around week 5.

I think that may be a little early. Not sure though. I was 5w4d last with my last preg.

The baby's heart doesn't actually start to beat until around the end of week 6, so if you're going in this week, chances are there won't be a heartbeat yet.

I got an u/s at 5 weeks 4 days and no heartbeat yet. I think 4.5 weeks is to early to hear anything. I go tomorrow for a follow up just to make sure it's beating away.
