Old Navy Sizing?

I've never bought anything from there and I'm confused on their sizing. 

I want to buy long sleeve onesies that would be equal to Carter's size 12 mths.  Which size should I get 6-12 or 12-18 mths??

    I dont know about tops. But in pants Ian just grew out of his 6-12 months. I find their stuff is hard to predict some of it is too big and some runs smaller.

    i have found both old navy and carters run small

    Their 6-12 is closer to Carter 9 mo. but their 12-18 is going to be bigger than Carter 12 mo.

    12-18 would be the closest to 12 month carters. 6-12 is more like a 9 month size.

    huge, imo. aidan (2.5) still wears 12-18 months shirts and shorts from Old Navy. (i only know bc sawyer got a ton for her bday and she's way too small and aidan fits in them perfectly)

    I have also found that they run a little small. Personally, I always buy the bigger size.

    ETA: You can always check their sizing charts online.
