OK...so my SIL registered at BRU and Target. BRU is a little on the expensive side, and I want people to actually be able to get me stuff that I register for.
Target on the other hand, has a horrible return policy (as stated below in another post).
And, I've thought of Walmart, but they just sound cheap, and I've looked online and in stores and none of their stuff appeals to me at all.
Any ideas?
OH...and NO ONE got SIL anything off of her BRU registry
Re: Where should I register?
I registered for my bigger items (high chair, car seat, swing, pnp) with Walmart because they are the only one that had what I wanted and I am going to BRU this weekend to register for all the smaller things. Also, for most of the items I compared prices before registering. I am glad I did this, Walmart has the bebe pod for $30 and BRU was significantly more expensive!

I haven't thought of JC Penney...my grandma works there (I think...unless she retired)...so she could get a discount!
Thanks for that idea
Truthfully I feel that BRU isn't really anymore expensive than a Walmart/Target for most things. You could amazon if people would shop online, I also have heard of people doing one at Burlington.
People are either going to buy off your registry or not. If they didn't buy off your SIL, chances are those people won't buy off yours. I would just try to register for stuff you want/need at a couple of places.
If you think people will shop online, I highly recommend amazon - because of their universal registry function.
I am doing a mix of amazon for online shoppers and BRU for in store shoppers. Honestly I would love to do Target but after the experience that my brother and SIL had with their wedding registry - I wouldn't even consider it.
Walmart - at least the ones in my area- no longer have in store registry so unless everyone invited to your showers shops online I wouldn't register there. 1/2 the stuff they have online is not carried in stores (none of the online is carried inmy local stores).
I would have loved to have a target in my area to register at but we don't have one of thoes either. I registerd at BRU... even if people don't buy off of your registry they can look and see what you want / like and go to the store of their choice.
Also, I don't know if you have a Sears / Kmart in your area but they have a lot of cool baby stuff. Their reigistry's are online only too though.
Good Luck
If you do decide to include BRU as one of your registries, just be sure to be concious of your price points. That might help!
Baby Depot does have better prices too.
Exactly what I'm doing.

We will also be doing Amazon and BRU - but I think most of our stuff will be on Amazon.
Some places that have been suggested to me:
Buy Baby Buy
Amazon (or Amazon Green if you're into enviro-friendly gifts)
Myregistry.com(which has like just about every store you can think of all rolled into one registry list...very cool)
the main places i signed up where Wal-Mart, Target and BRU
