BC Pill related: Probably TMI but just wondering...

So I've talked about how I've had to switch bc pills to get my cycle back on track since having DS. I've been on Kariva the last two months, and everything with my cycle seems ok. I just started having some cramps around week 3 or 4 which got worse and then on week 5 was told I had a UTI and was put on a 3 day antibotic. Then this past week I went back to the doc since I still didn't feel right and still have a UTI. They put me on a longer course of a different antibotic. I feel better but wouldn't say 100 percent. I still have 3 more days of the second antibotic to take but am leaving for the beach on the last day so I really won't know much until then. I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems when switching bc pills with UTIs or anything else. TIA! Just praying this is the pill and not something more serious.

  • I was on yaz for a couple of months, and was told I had a constant UTI while on it...I stopped and basically haven't had a postive test for a UTI since...my theory, though couldn't get a doctor to agree was that the bc was not strong enough there fore I was having a good bit of breakthru bleeding that was shwoing up on the test.
