First, I know all pacifiers aren't ideal for babies but I heard from someone that the soothie pacifier is worse for babies teeth and the nuk is better. I searched online and didn't see anything to verify this. Anyone hear anything similar?
Aren't you only supposed to use them pacifiers for the first 6 months? If so, it should have no effect on teeth. If your baby is still sucking a paci at two and three, yeah, I think both would probably effect the teeth.
But I'm no dentist!!!!

I never heard anything about that. But I did want to start my LO on a soothie. But he received a nuk one in the hospital. Yesterday I tried giving him the soothie....I'm not sure he liked it. He took it right away but made the cutest face, "Like wait...it isn't food." Maybe I'll try again later.
I tried the newborn OrthoPro to try and avoid any teeth issues, but DD absolutely refuses it. She loves the Soothie we got from the hospital to bits (as of yesterday - she hated anything but the bewb up to that point.) C'est la vie. Whatever works.
Re: soothie vs nuk pacifier
We use Soothies.
