I passed!!!!!!!!!!

in 2nd Trimester

I passed my 3 hour glucose test. Woot woot! I have to take the one hour again at 28 weeks just to make sure but thats ok because I now know to not eat before I go since they told me wrong at my first. I'm so excited. Bring on the cotton candy! JK! :)

    Congrats and GL with the second 1hr. I hope everything goes well. I  hated my drink and got so sick after it, I couldn't eat all day.

    Good luck. The one hour really isn't too terrible so I wish you luck and hope you pass because the 3 hour was torture :)

    I feel really quite stupid as i keep seeing posts about a glucose test, but i have no idea what you guys are on about!

    Is this a special test that you have to have, or are we all supposed to have a glucose test? I am at 20 weeks and my Drs hasn't said anything about it.

    I think everyone has it. It's to test for gestational diabetes. My doctor hasn't really mentioned it, but at my first appointment, one of the handouts they gave had a list of what to expect at each appointment. It is on there, and I think it says it's done between 24-28 weeks.

    Yea it is done anywhere between 24-28 weeks. It's to test for Gestational Diabetes. I'm pretty sure everyone does it. They did mine early since it runs in the family. Don't feel stupid!  :) They make you drink this really sweet drink, mine have both been orange flavored but they have a lemon lime and someone said a cola flavored. Then they test your blood an hour after you drink it to see how your body reacts to the sugar. If you fail it, you do the 3 hour one at another time. Drink the same stuff, then every hour for the next 3 hours they take your blood. The one hour one really isn't so bad. Bring a good book it's over before ya know it. As long as you get past the taste of the orange flavored sugar water. lol
