Infertility

Another question

My progesterone was 89 point something on the day of transfer.  Is it possible that it dropped significantly between now and then.  I know they want you to come in 7 days past transfer but is there usually a huge difference in progesterone the day of transfer and 7 days later?  Your period comes on when your progesterone drops--right?  I'm trying to figure this out in my head....I'm irrational right now but I've got to try to make sense of this.

Re: Another question

  • I've never had mine tested on the day of transfer or 7 days later, so I don't have advice there. Just wanted to say ((Hugs)).

  • My progesterone 7 days after transfer was 12.8 and my RE's office was happy with that number. I don't remember what it was around transfer time but if yours is low, I would take it as a good sign.
  • Progesterone is suppose to peak at 7dpo, like a bell curve, starting at ovulation and ending at menses. So yes, it is the drop of progesterone that makes your period come, but only the last few days of the 2ww.

  • I never had a progesterone check until my beta. They most likely are checking to see if your progesterone support is doing it's job. You can not read more into it then that unfortunately.

    Good luck!
