? re: Clomid/Follistim/Ovidrel combo

Good morning ladies,

This is my first cycle of injectibles, and I'm scared sh*tless!  But I've come to terms that if it gets me one step closer to having a baby, I'm all for it!

Now, the nurse told me she'll be monitoring my cycle, that I'm not to monitor at home.  When I asked when I should expect IUIs to be, she informed me that possible Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon, which be @ CD11.  I normally surge on CD13 with just Clomid and Ovidrel.

When do you surge when using the combination of the 3 meds?

    Since this is your first month adding injectables, I agree that you should start being monitored earlier.  Some people ovulate very early on injectables where as some don't.  So, better to be safe than sorry.

    As far as my experience, I never ovulated on clomid.  I triggered on CD11 or 12 with my femara/menopur cycle as well as my straight menopur cycle. 

    Also, if you are using Ovidrel, you won't surge naturally.  Your follicles will get big enough to assume they are mature and then the Ovidrel causes your body to release them which is similar to "surging" naturally.

    On my Clomid/Follistim/Novarel cycle I oed on CD 14.

    Thanks ladies.  I'll be going in on CD10 for monitoring, and of course based on those results, RE will make a decision as to how long to wait.

    I suppose when then nurse told me that IUI would be possible Sat/Sun, I was a bit excited b/c that won't require time off from work.  Wishful thinking.  It will prob be Mon/Tue, or Tue/Wed

    I was only on follistim and ovidrel, but I had my IUI on CD 10 and CD11.  The injects aren't as bad as I thought they would be.
