Salsa Chicken- put chicken- get parts on the bone and take the skin off, put in a slow cooker- You can get cheap salsa on sale.
You can also do cream of mushroom this way .
Do the salsa chicken as stated above and serve over white rice mixed with some salsa. If you have some cheese in the house (i buy blocks of cheddar and shred it myself) sprinkle some in the rice too.
I also do a pound of ground beef browned mixed with white rice, salsa and cheese. If we are lucky I'll get tortilla chips and eat the mix with them.
Another is beef tips and noodles.
1.5 lbs stew meat
Packet of beef gravy
cream of mushroom soup (any cream of XXX will work)
wide noodles ( about 2 cups)
Make the gravy - and the stew meat cover and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes. Cook noodles as directed on package. Add the cream of mushroom, continue to cook for 5 mins. Mix in cooked noodles and serve.
I don't know what stores you have near you, but our Dominicks has a clearance meat section. It sounds gross, but it's just the meat that is going to expire in a few days. As long as you freeze it or use it immediately, you're good to go and it saves a ton of money. If you go early in the morning, there are some amazing things for amazing deals.
take a whole fryer chicken crock pot it in chicken broth for 8-10 hours I also add pepper, garlic and dill.
About an hour out use the bear creek broccoli cheddar soup mix and ine to tweo broccoli heads, prepare the soup mix according to directions and cook the broccoli seprately to your taste ( soft, crunchy, etc)
Add broccoli to soup mix and simmer till ready to use.
Take chicken out of Crock pot and pull apart removing the bones and skin. Add to soup mixture, or depending on your tastes take out half of soup mixture and then add chicken (depend on how much sauce you like)

Tuna melts are great and quick. Can of tuna made the way you like. Put on a piece of bread w/ tomato and cheese and broil. yummy!
