Sarah sits very well, for the most part, and has been for about probably 6 to 8 weeks now. But if she looks too quickly in any direction or leans over too far, instead of catching herself, she falls over. She's gotten better at this, but she's still bonked her little noggin on the floor (there's carpet, but it's not very thick/soft) a few times.
I don't mind this too much at home, but at daycare I know she doesn't get to play on the floor as much as the other babies because someone always needs to be sitting right next to her to catch her if she starts to fall.
At what age did your LO get better at this? I assume it'll be right around when she starts to crawl but she's not too into that idea so I'm hoping something will click with her before that and her balance/reactions will improve.
Re: When did you no longer need to put a pillow around your sitting baby?
We haven't for a long time. We have tile though so she is never on the floor. She has recently started falling forward so she can scoot so we can't leave her unattended anywhere.
