glass baby food jars

I have a question for a friend of mine, since my baby isnt old enough yet I have no idea. How do you travel on a plane with glass baby food jars? Wrap them in bubble wrap?? Empty the contents into a plastic container?? Do they make plastic baby food jars?? HELP!!

  • Just put it in a bag on your carry on - there is a special lane for baby food and medical stuff. It isn't involved in the 4oz crap.

And what would he eat when they had a layover or delayed flight? Gotta bring food with you...

sorry...when you started talking bubble wrap I was imagining a lot of food.  Gerber makes plastic depending on the age.  And depending on the age, you can still go all day without solids if you had to.  And regardless of all of that, most jars are less than 4 ozs, so you can take them on.

  • I guess I'm confused. If your friend has ever been to a store to buy baby food, she would already know that you can get plastic. In fact I think plastic is easier to find in the first place.
  • ok good.  i'm not the only confused one here.

  • most baby food is in plastic so I am confused why she would want glass? Anywho, also confused because if it is for carryon, you woulnd't need to bubble wrap it unless your friend manhandles her own luggage?
