I know it's talked about a lot on here: 30 Day Shred

I'd like to loose 10 lbs and have heard the 30 Day Shred on here a lot.  For those who have done it, would you recommend it?  How many times a week and how many minutes/hours per day should you do it?  I have a hard time with exercise because I get home from work, eat dinner, play with DD and put her to bed and then just want to veg out.  I know I need to get healthier though and want to know if this realistic for me.

  • From beginning to end it is about 27 minutes total. Its hard but I like it. You need some hand weights and maybe a mat. A lot of ladies do it everyday but I try to do it every other day and allow a day of rest for my muscles (though I try to sneak in extra cardio when I can). I got mine off Amazon for less than $7. • The 30DS was good about getting me started on a healthier lifestyle. I lost a few inches but did not lose any weight. Once I started counting my caloric intake I started dropping pounds. I keep track of everything (food, exercise) on sparkspeople.com.
  • i started it about 2+ weeks ago. i have done it for 14 out of the last 16 days. it was really hard to start exercising again but so happy i am doing it. i get home from work, put her to bed, and exercise from 7:15-7:45, then eat dinner. DH doesnt get home till 8 so it doesnt cut into that time.

i also cut back on calories. clothes are bigger but weight was steady until today when i dropped 4 pounds at once.

i have 6 lbs (out of the 58 i gained) to go to pre-pregnancy weight but a lot longer to look similar to how i used to.

  • I've done it for the last 12 days in a row.  I've definitely firmed up, but I haven't lost any weight (yet.)
