Entered 2ww with one precious embie...

Morning everyone,

My time has finally come to ask for your good wishes. Since I don't post that often and don't have my medical history in my siggy, here's a quick recap: it's our third IVF, and most likely, the last one with my own eggs (very low ovarian reserve). "Fun math": how many eggs do I get in every natural, non-medicated cycle? - one. What about after stimming with $4,600 worth of meds? - you guessed it - one. Actually, I had 4 nice big follicles, but only two eggs were retrieved, and one of them fertilized. ET was yesterday, 1st beta is on the 20th. 

DH has been wonderful - very involved and super supportive - he even made up a cute nickname for the embie, which we've never done before... I am staying very positive, and hoping to nail it this time...

    my irl friend just did her third ivf cycle and has a similar history to yours.  she had 2 eggs retrieved and one made it to transfer.  she went in for her beta on wednesday and it was positive.  her numbers are doubling and everything looks good so far.  it can happen!!

    i hope this story offers you some hope.  i'm sending good vibes your way and hope to read about your bfp soon!

    Good luck! I hope you don't mind my posting, but we transferred one and it resulted in our son, so it can happen! I hope it works out for you.

    Good luck! I transferred one embie at got pg (now I am m/c'ing, but it did work to begin with). So it can happen!
    Dx: High FSH, stage IV endo, homozygous C677T MTHFR and PAI-1
    Early loss 10/08
    Lap 1/09
    IVF #1 "natural IVF" - 1 egg retrieved, missed m/c
    Tried several mini-stim cycles with no response
    Switched clinics - dx'd as carrier for Fragile X
    IVF #2 MDL protocol Jan/Feb converted to IUI, BFN
    IVF #2 take 2: Antagonist, one embie, BFN
    IVF #3: Antagonist, no fertilization
    One last ditch effort at OE IVF (antagonist with Clomid) cancelled
    DE cycle #1 Jan/Feb 2011, BFP, ectopic
    DE cycle #2 June/July 2011 - BFP
    10/28/11 Baby girl lost at 17 weeks due to pre-term labor. We love and miss you.
    DE cycle #3 June/July 2012 - BFP, twins, both heartbeats stopped, D&C
    2 frosties but don't know what's next
    FET Dec 2012: BFP! Praying this one sticks for the long haul!

    Best of luck - it can happen with one - we transferred a single embie last year and I was fortunate to get my DD as a result.  GL!!
