What is considered a good post wash sperm count for IUI? My RE says they like to see anything above 2 million post wash. But I keep reading that above 10 million is considered acceptable.
We had 1.5 million post-wash, and my RE didn't seem worried about the count as much as the motility percentage (which was lower than expected for us). Obviously more is better, but as long as they're good quality, 2 million shouldn't be a huge problem.
However, I do know that sperm banks guarantee a 10 million post-wash minimum for a .5cc vial, so I don't know if that number is closer to acceptable for most RE's. I guess it depends on the doctor.
Re: Give me the real deal on post wash counts
My RE likes to see anything over 4 million. We had 45 & 25 million on our last B2B IUI.
Sample counts really do have a wide margin of variability.
