Which carrier for a 10-11 month old?

We're going on vacation soon and I was thinking about getting some sort of carrier. I had a hotsling which never worked out for us, and I've never gotten anything else. DS does well in the stroller, but I want to get something else just in case. Any suggestions?

I have a babyhawk which I LOVE...it is so comfortable and can be used as a back or front hold.

I was going to suggest a mei tai like the babyhawk as well - pretty easy to learn to use, instantly adjustable (if you want to switch between wearers) since it's tied on (instead of buckling like an ergo or beco), and it can be used for front or back carries (and I would definitely suggest a back carry if you want to wear for any amount of time and still have kiddo be able to see out).

A soft structured carrier like the ergo or beco would also work for you.

I love my Beco but I would only invest in this carrier if I knew I was going use it long term.
