did any of you get clomid mood s/e AFTER finishing the pills?

hi clomid girls--did any of you have side effects for a long time after you finished the pills? i took clomid CD3-7 and actually didn't notice many side effects while i was on the pills . . . then starting around CD10 and continuing until now (CD12) i got totally moody and weird emotionally. did any of you guys experience mood swings at this point in the cycle? i just want to know if i'm going crazy!!! Crying

    I did. I got all of the horrible clomid SE's. I hated those pills!

    I got a headache that lasted for several days.  It started the day after the last pill.  I asked my dr. and he said that the s/e can start after you finish with the pills.

    I have been an emotional mess since I started Clomid at the end of April... I cry so so easily these days.

    I would also get the roller coaster of emotions after taking the pills.  I also had significant bloating after the pills all the way to the end of my cycle!  Not fun!

    I guess it would explain my little crying fit yesterday, though I think I would have cried anyway.  My friend announced her pregnancy, and I didn't take it too well.

    Yes, I took clomid CD5-9 and my moodiness started around CD21 for each of my 5 cycles.
    TTC since 3/08 DOR, High FSH, Hypothyroid, Uterine Polyps, blocked tube, MFI, 5 rounds of clomid, 5 IVF attempts, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 natural conceptions=2 losses (Methotrexate, D&C) Successful DE cycle twins born 10/7/11 Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I definitely did. I had horrible mood swings all cycle, and had horrendous pms on top of it! And even though my hot flashes ended a couple days after my last pill, I still felt really warm to the touch (feverish, almost) until my next period ENDED! Ugh! So no, you're not crazy - just clomidified. Wink

    Clomid stays in your system for a long time (I wanna say 40 days) after you stop taking it so after-the-fact s/e are not uncommon, especially if you're taking it for multiple cycles in a row because it literally builds up in your system

    Yes! I took clomid CD 5-9 this cycle, and, then our IUI was canceled on CD11 - that completely put me over the edge and I would randomly start crying at work and had a pretty bad breakdown in front of MH. I started feeling better yesterday (CD 15).
