Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If DS has had pancakes (with egg in it) and didn't have a reaction...

can I assume that he wouldn't have a reaction if he ate an egg by itself?  I haven't planned on doing it yet, and if I give him an egg, I'm going to start with the egg yolk, but I was just curious.  TIA!  Smile

  • DD never had an issue either way.

  • I've been meaning to ask this same question.  I thought maybe I was missing something somewhere.  We have given ds the yolk, he wasn't interested.  But I haven't ventured into scrambled eggs yet.

  • Nope - never assume anything with food allergies.  A child can eat a food 10 times without a reaction and suddenly one day have an anaphylactic reaction.

  • I'm really late ont this, but my understanding is that they can have things with eggs in them, but still shouldn't have whole eggs by themselves...
