So... that sucked.

A girl I work with just announced that she is 4 months pregnant.  My boss was kind, and came and told me before the group announcement.  But seriously?  Who has a group announcement for that?  Oh, the screaming that ensued... I would have been fine if not for the excessive celebratory coos.  I just went out to the parking lot and bawled, which was not fun.

    Understandable!!! I had a similiar situation...except w/my family....

    SIL burst in the door w/my nephew wearing a tshirt that said, "guess who's going to be a big brother?".....what makes it worse...she got pregnant the month I was released to ttc....and she admitted that she thought I would be pregnant at the same time.....blah! I ran out, cried (well, sobbed) for hours! The next day her confrontation ensued....she said a lot of cruel things......She actually told me that God knew that dh couldn't provide for another child right now....(dh is temporarily laid off from his job, so it'sbeen a tough year).....

    People can be so selfish and inconsiderate! Atleast your boss was considerate to you. All I got from my in-laws was bashing for not being over-joyed for a new baby...I was told that HER pregnancy should make me happy.....

    Sorry you've had a crummy day......but it could be worse.

    a group announcement? seriously? um, if i ever get knocked up again, the only way i plan on telling people at work is the good old fashioned way-- with hushed whispers of gossip and rumors.

    i'm glad your boss took you aside, though. it was probably the best way to find out...

    This is how I pretty much did it with my pregnancy.  I don't like drawing attention to myself and even though I wanted to scream from the cliff tops how excited I was at the time, I don't expect everyone in the world to share in my enthusiasm or start "coo"ing all over me.

    Wow, really sorry.  I don't want to sound harsh or anything but your SIL is an a-hole.  I'm surprised you contained yourself so well and didn't smack her silly.  I hope that you know that you will be able to provide it will happen, and a baby would never be taken from you because your husband does have a job, that is pure ignorance.

    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    Yeah that does suck and is quite annoying.  I agree with someflower the gossip wheel would have been an easier way.  Hugs, I'm sorry you are having a rough day.

    I swear it seems everyone in your world decides to get pregnant the day after you have a m/c.  and it sucks.  i'm so sorry.  ((hugs))

    We decided we would wait till it was so obvious that I was pregnant that someone would ask and let that be the way they find out.

    Oh and if it was multiples again we would let everyone know after they were born.
