What Cycle Days Did You Take Femera? Estrace?

I know the two drugs don't usually go hand in hand but I think my RE might put me on Clomid+Estrace or Femera next cycle and I need to figure out whether I can get the meds in time.

If you were on Femera, which cycle days did you take it?

If you were on Estrace, which cycle days did you take it?

Thank you!!

Re: What Cycle Days Did You Take Femera? Estrace?

  • Femera is taken like clomid, 5 days in the first week of your cycle. Most people do cd3-7, others cd5-9, and I do mine all on cd2 (my doc is weird).

  • I take Femara on cd3-cd7.

  • I have never taken Femara, but I believe its the same as Clomid, usually 3-7 or 5-9.

I will start Estrace on CD10.

  • For clomid i've been on both 3-7 and 5-9

    Estrace was 8-12

Femara was 3-7 or 5-9 as well (I usually ended up taking it at midnight day 5 because my baseline always fell on cd4 and I take meds at night to sleep through the side effects)....

  • As I was told by my RE, Femara is the same as Clomid but it's used for people who don't do well on Clomid. It works better for some people because doesn't thin your lining and it doesn't cause vaginal dryness.

It also doesn't increase the risk of multiples and has better success rates than Clomid. You'd take it on the same days as Clomid though (3-7, 5-9, etc.)
