4dpiui progesterone?

is it mandatory to do a progesterone test after the IUI?

the previous RE did it but this new RE didn't mention anything. He just said see you in 2 weeks for b/w.

Re: 4dpiui progesterone?

  • mine did the same thing after my iui. i am asking next time for b/w in the 2 ww b/c i have this itching feeling what went wrong with my pregnancy was low progesterone from the onset. i think if all doesn't go well this time i would ask your re to be monitored during the 2ww.

  • My RE does not do a 4dpiui progesterone test.

  • Mine does not require b/w, but on injectible cycles automatically put me on some form of progesterone.

  • My RE doesn't test for it. He said it's not a very reliable test since the levels can fluctuate a lot from day to day. Anyway, he did put me on progesterone this cycle anyway since last cycle AF can 11 dpiui.

  • My RE does a 7dpiui P4 test. But only on the cycle before IUI and the first IUI. If it is normal for both of those, they don't do it again unless you are still TTC  6 months later.

Yep... that would be me. 10 months since the first P4 test came back normal...

3 yrs ttc, 3ivfs, 4 iuis and finally a baby boy! And then a girl to follow. 2 under 2!
  • 4dpiui isn't going to tell you much. If you want a true number, you need it done at 7dpiui.
