Re: 2.5 month olds - tell me about your bedtime routine!
DD pretty much set her own bedtime between 8:30-9p. I give her a bath around 8p, feed her and she falls asleep....except tonight where she fell asleep at 6:30p, oy....she'll probably be waking up soon to eat...
And she'll usually STTN, waking up around 5-5:30a.
Depending on DS's cues, we start bedtime anywhere between 7:30 and 9. We do a bath (only use soap every other night), and then I feed him a bottle, read to him, rock, sing a little, turn on the white noise machine and put him down swaddled with a paci.
He usually falls asleep while I'm reading/singing/walking, but wakes up as soon as I put him down. The white noise machine, pacifier and swaddle help him put himself back to sleep.
The whole process takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes, depending on the night. Oh, and some nights we do it without the bottle- if he's tired enough and fed recently, he doesn't need it to fall asleep. We also swaddle with arms out now, unless he's really fussy. He likes to sleep with his arms over his head.
