Lovenox users - still have "an inch to pinch"?

My sides are tight, and shots are starting to hurt much worse. Where are you who are further along doing your shots? I've heard that the thigh really hurts, but I think I may have to try it because I'm having a hard time pinching an inch anywhere!

    For some reason, the nurse started me out w/ my upper thighs for the shots. It hurt like hell compared to my "love handles" You had to put the needle in at an angle - very difficult and complicated. I bruised bad right away. After a few days, I started on my love handle area. So much better! So far, I have still have some areas I can pinch. Have you thought about your sig.other/husband doing it for you? My doc said at some pt my husband may need to do it b/c the only fatty areas may be towards my back/sides but difficult for me to get to when I am towards the end of my pregnancy.

    I haven't been in your situation, but when I was hospitalized after I had HELLP last time, the nurses started off giving them to me in my upper arms.  There's probably not a full inch there, but it works just fine.  Of course DH has to give them to me, but it's something to consider!

    its hard for me to inject towards the sides of my stomach as well. I just do more toward the center of my belly and aim for between the bruises (a lot of fun, huh?!)

    If I sit down and kind of lean to the side I'm injecting I can still get just enough to get the needle in.  It's not fun, but there's really nowhere else to go!  Space is tight these days.
