I've been on WW for over a month and I just got my BFP yesterday. I was thinking of staying on it because I've been eating healthier than I have in YEARS. I figured that would be much better for baby. I'm not going to deprive myself of anything and I know I'll probably start getting much hungrier in the coming weeks, but I'd like to try to stick with it. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this wouldn't be a good idea? Anything I'm not thinking of?

Re: Anyone on WW when you got your BFP?
This. I also talked to my OB and she recommended sticking to the program but just eating more.
...Baby Blog...CD Blog...
I was doing WW and they put me on hold till after the pregnancy.
But....I am still doing the plan on my own. Per my doctors suggestion I just added in an extra 200-300 calories a day (half of that is 2 extra servings of skim milk a day). My doctor checked my food journal to make sure I was getting everything I needed and she said it looked great and to keep at it!
So far I have gained 0 lbs....but as long as my doctor is happy and the baby is progressing as normal, then I am happy!
I am guessing I will start gaining shortly!
According to their website, WW will not let you continue while pregnant. I had been doing it for 3 months before my BFP and will pick back up after the baby is born.
I'm still eating a lot of the same foods, but I'm not tracking and I'm not depriving myself if I do want something bad.
I'm a huge WW advocate- I feel like it's the only diet that actually teaches you how to eat healthy for the long term... a real lifestyle change.
That said, it might depend on which plan you're on. The one I did was the super old school plan that had you cound carbs, proteins, fats, fruits, etc.. It ensured you had a well balanced diet. My only worry with the point system is it doesnt necessarily ensure you are hitting all the major food groups, since you allocate points however you want (right??). That said, I know they came out with yet another plan that seems to return to original.
Long story short, I think WW is abotu as healthy as you can get, as long as you're using it to ensure a well-balanced diet. Definitely talk to your doctor and group leader.
