My shower is this weekend (holy smokes), and I just remembered that some people give hostess gifts.

The hosts are my sisters and my mother.

If you gave a hostess gift, what did you give?? Obviously, not looking to break the bank

my sister and my friend threw mine... and I made up baskets for both of them for their families (cause I knew the families and kids especially helped!) I did movie tickets (I got them at costco at a discount) and then rental gift cards, movie candy from the dollar store, micro popcorn and so on. they were a big hit!

Our moms threw our shower and we took them out for pizza as a thank you.

I had 2 showers. For my first, hosted by my mother and cousins, I got my mother a framed picture of our 3D ultrasound with a quote about grandmothers engraved on it; I got my cousins a Crabtree & Evelyn gift basket thing.

For my local shower I bought my 3 best friends gift cards to the Ritz Carlton Spa.

Mine was co-hosted by my mom, aunt, and best friend. I got each of them a cool copper(-looking) magnetic frame with an u/s pic and told them the intention was for them to replace it w/ a pic of the baby after he was born. I don't know if any of them did, though!

Mine was hosted by a co-worker friend. I gave her a gift certificate to a nail salon near work that we both go to for pedicures.

We had our sprinkle this weekend. I brought my friend a "thank you" gift set from Philosophy with two bath and shower gels, and a bar of fancy soap from Fresh. I also picked up a small flower arrangement for her on the way there.

For the one my aunt, uncle and cousins threw - I sent them Edible Arrangements (they had a box set of chocolate covered apples and strawberries for I think only $25)! My aunt received a giant fortune cookie from flowers.com or somewhere since EA didn't deliver to her house in the boonies. We've had Edible Arrangements sent to us for various occasions and they've always been delicious - and my aunt loved the cookie commenting it was "bigger than her a$$"! (She's the token crazy aunt.)

For the one my friends thew me, I gave each of the girls gift certificates to the nail salons they frequent for a mani/pedi.
