question for those who have done TI

were you guys given any instructions from your RE (other than the timing of the TI)? position to lie in after TI, how long to lie there, stuff like that? my RE didn't really give us any instructions so it would be helpful to hear what other REs say!

    I wasn't given any instructions. I just know & which I did post about this, intercourse after trigger was very painful with H from behind. I'm relating it to the follicles being larger because it usually doesn't hurt but just find a comfortable position. GL.

    Lay on your back (post BD) with a pillow or something under you. It will tilt your pelvis up and let gravity do the work. I highly recommend setting up the pillow before hand so you can just roll over onto it. Trying to set it up after the fact will have you moving around a lot, contracting inside, and before you know it - all the stuff you were trying to keep in is suddenly leaking out.

    They say that missionary is best... and doggie style for those with a tilted ute. Really - whatever you and your DH can do to get the deepest penitration is recommended.

    Only here could I write this without having to label it TMI: Whatever position you're in make sure that you can easily lay down from it. If you do decide to be on top have YH roll you over before removal. Wink

    I second the pillow underneath your pelvis.  I usually lay like that for 20-30 minutes.

    It's been a while since we did TI, but no real directions from the RE.  However, I implemented what I called the rotissiere chicken method in which I'd lay 20 minutes on my back propped up, then rotate and lay on my side for a while (just in case I had an abnormal shaped uterus and to accommodate any other crazy thoughts that came to mind) and then flip to the other side and lay there for a while.  DH thought I was crazy.

    No instructions, but I just wanted to make sure you have had a SA done.  I wasted 3 cycles on TI only to THEN find out that my hub's had a low sperm count and IUI was our only option.  What a waste of time and money!
