450 follistim + 3 menopur! wowza...
I think they are trying to get my ovaries cooking! haha u/s check this morning went well. After 3 nights of stims, I have a few mesaurable follies and a few smaller ones. My AFC on day 3 was 12 follicles, so we can't expect to get more than that....but I would be THRILLED with 10 
I am usually a 5-7 kind a gal.
They increased my meds from 2 menopur to 3 menopur and I go back on Thursday. Should be interesting!

Oh wow, that is a TON of meds. My RE is almost doubling both my follistim and Menopur dose for IVF#2. Can you tell a noticeable difference in regards to side effects on your new does?
WHOA...i'm on 225iu Follistim and 3 Menopur for a total of 450iu....and my dr said that's pretty much throwing the kitchen sink at me. Guess not. Good luck with all that...I hope it makes all your follies grow!!!
LCB34 - I had a lot more bloat when I went from 300 to 450iu, it got very uncomfortable towards the end. BTW, i'm in Houston too...who is your RE?
I will be on the same dose of meds as you for my next IVF - 225 Follistim and 3 vials of Menopur! Glad to know i should prepare for feeling a bit worse.
I go to Fertility Specialists of Houston and see Dr. Witz. I absolutely LOVE him - he moved to Houston from San Antonio about a year ago and I have been seeing him since Feb 2009 (after switching from a horrible RE). Where do you go?

Honestly, I don't have any other side effects from being on such high dosage of meds except bloating. My pants are tight and uncomfortable....and I am even wearing the ones that are usually my more comfortable. Since I am usually an under responder, they are trying to get more eggs to develop. I will add in ganirelix soon so that I don't ovulate before ER.
I asked about stimming slower for longer, but from my last IVF cycle, this seemed to work for me. Even though they only got 7 eggs at ER (which I guess is good with an AFC of 11 or 12), all 7 made it to blastocytes and we froze 4. So the egg quality seems to be there...now we just need one (or 2!) to stick!
