How long did it take for your period to return?

I'm soo confused! Lost our baby on 6/18 and had a D&C the next day. This was over 6 weeks ago.Still no AF! Took a test on the advice of the nurse at my OB's office and yes, it did come up positive. I just really do not think I'm Pg. I'm just not feeling it.I'm still thinking leftover hormones. I had blood work done Friday that came back as 33/38 and I had more done today and I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting on the results. My Dr. seemed optimistic.

'Dr.Google' is not giving me any info. Anyone still waiting on AF 6(almost 7!!) post op/loss??

    Mine arrived pretty much on schedule 4 weeks later. However, 6-8 weeks isn't uncommon, especially after a D&C (I had a natural miscarriage, and AF seems to return faster after that, just by what I've seen on this board). Sometimes it just takes your body a while to get back on track.

    Your doc can give you meds to kick start AF, although they may want you to wait for another week or two first - but make an appointment to talk to them about it if it's something you think you might want to do.

    After my 1st d&c I tested positive for at least 6 weeks. AF came 11 weeks later. I'm at 5 weeks post 2nd d&c today and I feel like AF is coming. I've been spotting too.

    I had a natural m/c in March and didn't get AF until May.

    Mine was exactly 5 weeks and 1 day.  The norm is 6-8 (trust me-- I have been a member of 3 m/c sites for 2+ years now).  At 10-12, many doctors will induce it with prometrium.

    Up to 12 weeks is considered normal.  I'm at 16 weeks now, still waiting...

    Thanks, I'm glad to hear real stories and not what I think my Dr. wants me to hear. I'm hoping to know everything tomorrow but right now I simply can not think about anything else!

    I got my first AF 5 weeks post D&C.  I think they told me to expect anything from 4-6 weeks, so I was right in the middle.

    I m/c April 30. First AF started on June 28. Almost 2 months.
