Yesterday DH and I went to Victoria Secret to get bra fitted as I'm busting out of my pregnancy ones. I didn't want to buy nursing ones yet as I'm probably going to grow some more and want to feel sexy for as long as I can. Anyway, 4 workers were folding/straightening up all over the store, and I asked one to do a measurement. She told me to stand by the fitting room and called for someone else (she made a point to be way too busy to help). I waited there for over 10 minutes while another family gets helped, the other ladies walked around with their measuring tapes tied around their hips, and finally I walked to someone else to get sized. She didn't even do it right; she did the band size but never went over my bust again, just measured the size and told me I was a C cup. So I started looking around and I needed help with a couple of things and *no body* was around to help me. I stormed out and went to another store where sure enough, I'm a D/DD and not a C.
So I'm done with VS. I haven't shopped in there since a year and a half ago where I ordered something online that didn't come in at all after over a month (and then was discontinued). Customer service's response was that they were changing distrubution centers so they gave me a $25 gift card for my troubles (which amounts to half a bra). It just validates why I rather shop online at Fredericks.com then step in VS.

Re: NBR: Another reason to hate VS (vent & kinda long)
I'm with you. I stick to Nordstrom and Neimans for my lingerie needs. This being pregnant thing is really putting a cramp in my style, by the way. ;-)
Sorry you had a crappy experience!
OMG. You are kidding me. I can't believe that's all you said, I would have verbally assaulted her.
Ditto! And then I would have found the manager. I totally would have gotten her fired.
The bra fittings are the absolute worst at VS. I got a fitting there once and they told me 36B. At the time I was probably a 30D. How did they get 36???
I always really liked their bras but have found that the stores/online suck. I was incorrectly measured, not totally their fault because I have a concave chest that makes sizing difficult, but more about that later in this post.
I purchased some bras online, because the exact same ones were more expensive in the store(BIG SUCK), and when I got them they didn't fit AT ALL and they were the exact same as the bra I already had. I went to the store to ask about the difference and the lady told me that they must have changed the design so that is why they are so different.
Anyway, so for the longest time I had the wrong size and when I finally got correctly sized(somewhere else) only to find out that they don't even carry anything larger than a DD & I was actually a FF. Which conveniently they always measured me as a DD. Hmmmm, makes me wonder if they just didn't want to loose my money by turning me away.
Anyway, I concur...VS sucks!
I think it all depends on the particular store or location. The one closest to me completely sucks. Back at the end of May when I had already popped and clearly looked pregnant I needed new bras and went to VS. The girls there were way to busy to help with anything. Even sounded put out when I asked where a certain style of bra was. Come to find out they keep them in bins under a table. I sat there for a minute expecting them to crawl under there and look for me. BOY WAS I WRONG. So I get my pregnant but down on the floor and start looking in the bins. Nothing was in the correct boxes. When I asked the girl to help me she was all put out like how dare I ask for her help. I told her that nothing was in the correct bin and how was a customer supposed to ind anything. It was bad enough that the customer had to get on the floor to look in the first place. Her response... Well I didn't stock these. OMG are you kidding. I turned around and left. Three days later I was visiting my mom 5 hours away and still needed bras so I tried her VS. Night and Day. The sales women were actually helpful, not put out and were happy to do their jobs.
FYI if you really wnat to mess with thier customer service scores just walk in and leave without buying things. All of the Limited brand stores have tickers marking how many people enter the store and how many sales are made. If a lot of people enter the store without making a purchase then the store gets cited.
I walked out of VS tonight because I was so ticked off at the salesgirls. I was looking at sweatpants (yes, in the pink section even though I am *gasp* 31). I found a pair I liked but not in my size. I approached a girl and asked and she actually snickered after I asked and said she'd go check. I watched her walk around the store (not go in the storeroom) and come back to tell me they didn't have them.
I asked two other employees if I could speak to the manager and neither of them knew where she was.
Yup, I'm done with them.
She shouldn't have been rude, but just FYI, all employees wear headsets. She probably asked a stockperson in the back to check for the size and style so she didn't have to leave the floor.
I worked at VS for a year, and I'm really surprised y'all have had such terrible customer service. As far as fittings go, we spend like 2 weeks training to be able to fit people before they even allow you to try. I've never fit someone in the wrong bra, and neither did most of my co-workers. We also worked really hard to have great customer service at the three different VS's I worked at. Sorry you've had bad experiences, but not all the employees are 18-year-old b!tches.
