1st Trimester
Update: Twins NOT conjoined!!!
As of Friday we can confirm that our twins are OFFICIALLY NOT CONJOINED!!!!
Background (for those of you totally lost): 10 days ago we go for 1st appointment and ultrasound. Doctor sees two hearbeats but no seperation between the babies. We stay at the hospital, see a specialist the next day, and still can't determine if they are conjoined at the head or just very close together. After a god-awful week we go back last Friday and low and behold - they are very seperate!
They are identical twins which means we still have a few extra challenges ahead but nothing compared to what we thought we would be facing. This past week has been the most awful, exciting, gut-wrenching roller coaster I've ever experienced and I just had to say thanks for all your prayers and good wishes.

Just hearing that I was in your thoughts and prayers this weekend made me teary. I actually remember thinking Friday, "Man, I gotta post an update on 1st tri!"

TTC #1 since 2007. Dx: Unexplained infertility. 4 IUIs in 2008 = BFN. IVF #1 07/09. DD #1 born April 2010 (40w5d).
TTC #2 since 2011. Dx: Endometriosis and hypothyroidism. 2 FETs in 2012, BFP 6/12 but m/c @ 7 weeks. IVF #2 06/13. DD #2 born March 2014 (40w1d).
Jennicap - Thanks again for that lovely prayer. We practice our faith a bit differently but it was beautiful. I actually brought it with me on Friday.
Identical Twins - apparently if there is one placenta and one corian (sp?) it means identical twins. Could be wrong (I was a bit overwhelmed at the time) but it has something to do with that. I just figured if they came out and matched = identical!
