Devestated IVF Cancled High E2 - Questions?

Hi Ladies-
I was in the process of my first IVF. It was going well until on day 10 my E2 spiked from 2600 to 4050 then I started coasting but it increased to 5500, 6600, and 7200 before decreasing. I had coasted too long and my RE advised me to cancel due to egg quality. Has anyone had this happen? Did your RE eventually get it right? And how long until you were able to start again? Did you have to have two AF's in between?

I'm so sorry about your cycle cancellation. I'm sure that was terribly disappointing. (((((((hugs)))))) The good news is that your RE has learned a lot from this cycle about how your body responds to meds and will likely stim you more slowly or with a lower dosage next time.
with high E2s, I think as long as they are back down to acceptable levels on your next CD3, they should be able to get you cycling again right away.

Sorry about your cycle. I agree with pp, your RE has learned a lot and can adjust the medication for next time so it won't happen again.
I have heard that it can impact egg quality, so it is probably better to cancel now.
Listen to your RE about OHSS symptoms, drink gatorade and eat salty foods.
I am so sorry! This happened to me.
IVF #2 was canceled on my trigger day because my E2 increased to 6200, and they were concerned that my egg quality was compromised.
I will say, no, my RE could never get it right (we did do a complete IVF #2 cycle with him); however, YES, my current RE definitely figured it out!!! We switched up a few meds and I started and stayed for the most part on ultra low doses of stims.
Feel free to page me if you have any questions on my protocol, RE or process. It has been a looooong process, but it's been worth it. I know most people can't relate to high E2's and high #'s of eggs. Most are envious of these things, but it's not an envious place to be when your cycles are canceled!
I had an AF after my canceled cycle and then I went back on bcp's for my next cycle. I was canceled on Nov. 18 and then my ER for my following cycle was on Jan. 8, so there wasn't too much time in between.
