ingrown finger nail?? ouch! help!

any tricks or advice? i've never had an ingrown toe nail, but this sucker hurts! Sad

    Is it infected?  I'd start by soaking in warm salt water 3x/day.

    You need to clip it... that is the only thing that would help me.  I get ingrown toenails.  and I am very diligent in keeping it low so that it does not become a problem.  If for any reason it does become a problem - I dig in there and clip the side (gross I know)... but if you don't it might become infected.

    Go to your closest drugstore and get some Outgrow.  It's in a brown bottle with a yellow label with green writing.  Put it on the ingrown nail three times a day and it will take care of the problem.  Easy!
