Registery @ BRU vs. Target, which one do people prefer?

So, what do you think, do you think people prefer to shop at BRU or Target (if you registered at both)? I personally prefer BRU, they have more coupons, easier to shop at, etc. but from a couple of the showers I have had, it seems like people prefer to shop at Target....just curious what you think.....

Re: Registery @ BRU vs. Target, which one do people prefer?

  • TARGET!  We registered at both and 28 things were bought off of Target while 5 things were bought off of Babies R Us.

  • I think Target is typically more convenient for people than BRU is, but I prefer BRU because IMO Target's selection sucks.  I registered at both just in case.

  • People like to go to Target, but the problem is a lot of them hardly have any baby stuff in the stores. So people go last minute, and find out most of the things on the registry are online, and then what?

I totally agree but we didn't bother registering at Target. I know a few people found the same item that we registered for at BRU and bought it at Target... fine with me. We also registered at Pottery Barn Kids and had no problems.

  • I hate Target...it's a pain in the ass to return anything.
  • BRU.  Target's return is AWFUL.
  • Target is much more convenient. There are more of them and people can get a shower gift without having to make a special trip.

  • Target, prices are much better and online shopping is more convenient.

I agree.  It's more convenient because there are more Target stores than BRU stores, but not NEAR the same selection.  We registered at both, and surprisingly, we've gotten (I stalk my registry!) 12 things off our BRU registry, and only 1 off our Target registry...although the shower isn't until next weekend.

  • Now that I have had my showers since registering at Target I would definitely recommend BRU. It was a hassle for people to find items, which were typically not in store, and the return policy sucks even with a gift receipt.  I had to keep changing my items online because they would be "out of stock" or "online only". My MIL tried ordering my pack n play and they wanted $25 for shipping!! I have been disappointed in the store, plus I never got my gift card coupon or 10% off coupon!!
