spots that look like bug bites but are spreading...any thoughs?

Its really hard to tell  but they start out like very tiny pimples and they grow bigger and redder.  I'm thinking chicken pox but who knows!

  • Spider bite?  K got a bit by a spider a few weeks ago. It started off looking like a bug bite and then just spread and got really red.  It was hard as a rock too.

  • Chicken pox always starts in the torso region and spreads from there.

Has she been swimming anywhere?  Swimmers Itch is in season too.

  • Chicken pox start and end the same size if I remember right. ?

If they itch it could be hives. ?

If they hurt, DD just had shingles ?- she had 3 little spots on her face. ?In the spots were about 20 little bitty blisters. ?Doc said b/c she'd been fighting off a cold for so freaking long, her immune system kinda crapped out & she reacted to her chickenpox vaccine. ?

    Fun huh?

    Get it checked out tomorrow.

  • Sounds kinda like what my friends daughter has... flea bites. Their cat brought in fleas and her daughter is always cuddling the cat and they had no idea what the bumps were all over their daughters legs. Not sure if that is what your daughter has or if you even have pets, but it just made me think of her bumps that I saw the other day and figured that it wouldn't hurt to mention it just in case. They had to bug bomb their house and it got rid of the fleas. (btw, they keep a very clean, pristine house. I guess any animal can bring in fleas if it goes outdoors at all).
  • Chicken pox or allergic rash would be my guess.  You can probably google images of chicken pox and compare, though.
  • I had chigger bites the beginning of the summer. It was the most painful and itchiest thing i hae ever been through.

Let me know if you need more info.

    Good Luck!
