I feel like I am 16 again :(

in 2nd Trimester

I am having serious acne problems worse then I ever did while a teen, face back, chest, ugh!!!!  They just started at about 15 weeks and seem to be getting worse, I am 17 weeks now.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Anyone have any natural or pregnancy safe acne remedies?  Help!!

    Me too! My acne has been a little under control until last week. I swear it looks like I have chicken pox on my face. Currently, I am trying the St. Ives apricot scrub (not the acne one), along with sea breeze astringent. I wish I didn't have to use anything becuase of all the unknown ingredients, but I can't go without using anything. My skin is way too oily to skip all acne treatments.

    I totally feel your pain. 

    I use Cetaphil for facial lotion, Dove at night and Purpose in the morning for face wash.  All three are very gentle.   I'm just now starting to get some relief, this has been an issue for a while.  Yay hormones!

    Ugh, me too. ?Only not my face, its my back. ?It's disgusting. ?I've just been using cetaphil and I guess its helping some but I haven't really found anything that's helped much.

    Mine's been on and off bad so far - I have oddly found that toothpaste helps.

    What has helped me, though not perfect, is I use Cetaphil face wash and Burt Bees Blemish stick.  I used to use proactive, so obviously the cetaphil isn't perfect, but it's the best that I can find and safely use.

    I had terrible acne with my first.  Nothing I did helped.  I totally feel for you. I lucked out this time, as long I wash my face twice a day I'm good. But if for some reasson I don't wash it at night and only in the morning for a day or two I break out.

    Ugh. I wish I couldn't relate. Right now I've got Mt. Rushmore positioned in the center of right cheek. It's beyond disgusting- and embarrassing. But what can ya do?

    I have had super clear skin my entire pregnancy until this weekend. I don't get it! I have awful zits along my jaw line on one side. :o( I hate it!

    Mine has cleared up, but right before I found out I was pregnant I started breaking out like crazy. I couldn't figure out what was going on until I got my BFP.

    I can't even wear sleeveless anymore, the other night i accidently scratched my shoulder and bled through my pj's :(.  My face is bad too.  I use a benzoyl peroxide wash which helps my face somewhat, but I guess i just have to deal.

    I had pretty good skin up until the second trimester but then I started getting really bad, cystic acne. I started using the cetaphil face wash because I had read that it works pretty well and proactive makes my face overly dry and sensitive. It's helped out quite a bit since I started using it. Once a week I use the Peter Thomas Roth sulfur face mask (it has eucalyptus in it so it makes your face feel super fresh and tingly after) just to go the extra mile and then to moisturize I just use vitamin e lotion.

     I'm definitly not the prego who follows all the rules (i.e. I eat lunch meat every now and then and indulge in a cup of coffee) but I know for sure that you should not be using benzoyl peroxide.

    Actually my ob and dermatologist ok'd benzoyl peroxide, it does not hurt the fetus and barley any is absorbed into your bloodstream.  Living in a city, breathing in lots of pollutants is worse for your baby then this ingrediant.  The views of OBs differ greatly. However, just by doing some research you will find that benzoyl perioxide is considered safe by many obs and dermatologists.
