2nd Trimester

Think I overdid it!

Well DH wasn't home to help and I got so sick and tired of seeing our 2nd bedroom's carpet. So 10am this morning I started to pull and cut it up.  Well needless to say I couldn't really pick the furniture up so I pulled and pulled and pushed...Let's just say I am sore and my back is killing me now.

The carpet is up thank GOD....but now what...Have the heating pad on my back low.  But feeling some pain when I move side to side near my belly button.  I know I can't put the heating pad on my belly...or can I?

Oh yeah and now I am in the process of ordering the crib....exciting!

Re: Think I overdid it!

  • If the heating pad is on low I'm sure you COULD, but you might be better off in a warm bath with some epsom salts.

Glad you got your carpet up!?

  • I did that my first preg. We were moving and XH was a total ahole, he and his brother went to "pick up his paycheck" yea, they didn't show back up for a good 4 hours, they decided to have a couple drinks and leave me loading the U-Haul by myself... I was about as far as you and my back hurt for a couple of days afterwards. GL, I don't know about the heating pad, I've never owned one.

That sounds good...I think I will. Thanks
  • You can use a heating pad but my OB recomends no longer than 15mn. Sorry about your back :(

  • I did the same thing last week...  Pulled up carpet, painting furniture, etc...  My back was in some serious pain after that!  I finally took some Tylenol and that helped alot.  Needless to say though...I haven't done a damn thing all this week except lay around.  I'm missing that burst of energy though because I felt like Superwoman for that week.  *sigh*
