That is awesome! I wish I could find those kinds of deals around here. I have seen baby things at garage sales, but nothing that I felt was nice enough to buy.
At one garage sale, I bought an unopened package of 4 Avent bottles for $10, and I was pretty proud of myself. However, I called the company when I got home and it turns out that the bottles are an older version which still has BPA. I had to throw them away. I hate wasting money.

Way to go!
We passed one this afternoon and I made DH hit the breaks and back up. I saw baby stuff. Turns out it is a lady who is phasing out her in home day care and we got a Fisher Price Take Along Swing, with tags on and matching bouncy chair for $40 total! They are in great shape clean and ready to go. I will still be washing the covers of course but I was so excited!!
I love secondhand shopping!! Between my own shopping and my mom's, I've got a FP cradle swing, FP take-along swing, Boppy and two covers, FP bouncer seat, Gymini play mat, and a TON of clothes and books. I think I've spent less than $100 overall.
After our showers I'll definitely keep scouring secondhand stores and yard sales for deals.
