2nd Trimester

S/O Christmas

I can't believe I didn't think of this before! All of this Christmas talk, and presents, pictures, got me thinking about what LO will wear!! Are you going to get a Christmas dress/outfit for LO to wear?

I'm not due until the 31st, but I think it is very possible LO will make an early appearance and I would want him/her to be rockin' an adorable Christmas outfit! I suppose if LO doesn't show up for the holiday, I could just return the outfit. Hmmm...

  • I already have an adorable santa suit if LO turns out to be a boy, but I will most definitely buy an adorable little dress if LO turns out to be a girl!

  • I'm actually really excited about getting her a little holiday dress! DH's step-sister is due the same week as me, and she is also having a girl, so we're already planning the Christmas day pictures of the two girls in pretty dresses. I figure we'll get one after she is born; I was almost 10 lbs at birth, but DH was only around 7, so I am going to wait and see if we have a normal-sized baby or a huge one like me to buy anything.
  • There will be a Christmas outfit, most definitely!

There will be an adorable dress for sure. We are waiting until she is born to buy it though, so we know it will fit.

  • We got our LO a red, velvet dress with a white long sleeved onesie and white tights (complete with ruffles on her little booty).  I'm looking for a matching headband with a flower/bow on it.

We have one we picked up on clearance at Old Navy.

  • I'm due on the 17th . . . I hope the baby will be here for Xmas.  Once we find out the gender (on Monday), I'll be able to think about that.  So much is up in the air because we don't know yet.
  • I doubt my LO will be here by then.
  • If we have a girl, she'll wear the dress DD wore.  If we have a boy, he'll wear what DS wore for Christmas.  I loved their outfits, so I'm not buying new.

  • I have always ooohed and aaahhed over the little girls Christmas dresses and with a baby due at the end of Nov, you better believe I'll be getting her all dolled up.  :)

  • Well, even if your baby is two weeks early, she will only be days old at Christmas, you may want to just invest in a cute red onsie.  She will be too tiny to be comfortable in a dress.

My LO should be about 6 weeks by then, I got a cute plaid dress at Pottery Barn kids, but I plan on bringing warmer onsies with me to my parents house and my in laws house, b/c a new born is not going to be comfortable sleeping in that dress. The dress is just for pictures, then it's coming off!

  • I got a white cableknit sweater and matching pants for his or her coming home outfit - I think it's cute enough for the addition of a santa hat. :D Or maybe we could place the baby in that outfit in a fake holly wreath or something cute like that.

  • Once we find out what we are having I am totally getting something cute for the LO to wear!
  • Chances are super slim LO will be here, so my shopping will be focused on an outfit that doesn't make me look like a walrus. ;)
