Here's one no one mentioned, you get a good night's sleep the night before!!! So you're totally rested and ready for the new little one when they come! And i loved being able to walk into the hospital calmly, on my own, vs running in because you are in labor. It was a very peaceful experience actually.
I had an unplanned c-section after 24 hour failed induction. The c-section was WAYYYY easier than laboring. It was over in like 20 min...I felt nothing, and I got to recover in my labor room, rather than a recovery room. As soon as I was wheeled into my room, DH brought the baby to me, I nursed for a little bit, then my family came in...all while numb from the epidural. Recovery wasn't bad; I only stayed 2 out of 3 days because I was doing so well! Just take your pain meds regularly, even if you feel you don't need it! And as pp mentioned...Colace, b/c the Percocet will constipate you.
Some good things about it...besides all the above mentioned, no chance of pelvic floor dysfunction (from vaginal births) which can lead to inability to have an orgasm (no thank you!), incontinence, and painful sex...all which can last a few days to permanently! Plus your family and DH will baby you a little bit more...you have to milk it for all its worth! And you'll be prepared at home....you can clean, cook, etc. a few days before your scheduled c/section!

Actually, I am terrified! That is why I wanted to know some good things about having c-sections. I am pretty well informed on all of the awful things all ready. Thanks!
