He had to hold a job while at this house to pay for his keep.
He worked at a subway on the East side of town. (Whose same owner ran the South store where I was working.) Josh wanted more hours (To make his time at BTC go a little faster) so he asked the owner if he would approve him to work at a second store. (My store) And he started down there. Now he was a flirt. And I wasn't interested. He started making "ass" comments and hitting on me and I was blowing him off. You could say there was a "gap" between him and I that I didnt like (Shallow?) lol
Well he and I closed the store one night. And Got to talking. I was in an abusive relationship that time and he was asking questions and he said the right things. He even got me a ring from walmart (How sweet?) that had a chinese inscription on it meaning happiness. He said that "I didn't deserve any less than happiness. I didnt have it with (ex) and if I couldnt have it with josh that was ok too but to get happy. Find happy."
That was it for me. His true concern and insane persistance. I found my happy. And he's still here!
(And the benefits to being a supervisor and locking up the store~ Nookie spot! oh yea- it happened!) LMAO-
In high school. A friend of mine asked me to talk to DH for her. I went to talk to him but didn't want to give him up. I talked to him for myself. We have been together ever since. Needless to say me and the friend aren't friends anymore!
We met at the Outback! We both started around the same time.. We were friends for a year before we got together..
After years of struggling with infertility issues (PCOS since I was 16) and 15 medicated cycles we finally got blessed with our son. We got lucky with our 7th IUI using stims...Now we are back on the roller coaster to try for another miracle..IVF cycle in May resulted in a chemical pregnancy. 2 snowbabies FET 7/16-transferred 2 blastocyst...Faint bfp 4dp5dt!
We met on an online dating website. I was living in a new city and wasn't looking for anything more than new people to hang out with really. All I'd met was losers, and had decided not to meet anyone else when DH had contacted me. He was cute so I emailed him back, found out we had a mutual friend (which was weird because we grew up in towns almost 2 hours from each other) and she gave him her approval so I decided he'd be the last person I met, and if it didn't work out with him I wouldn't meet anyone else...it was love at first sight...our first date lasted something like 12 hours!
My DH worked with my best friend/roommate at a new restaurant that had just opened. My best friend started dating his roommate (who also worked there). One night I was at the restaurant and when we were leaving, my roommate invited my DH to come hang out with us. He almost declined, but I was like "really, you should!", and so he did.
I spent the rest of the evening getting really really tipsy and ignoring everyone else but him.
My older sister & him were friends along time ago. I met him when I was like 18. ( I have no recollection of it though, but DH remembers) So years down the road him & some buddies came into the bar that me & sister worked at & he was skinney & shaved his head. Not the usual type of guy I have dated in the past, but he asked me out & like you said I knew It was right. 6 years later we are happily married with a new home & sweet baby girl on the way...we are truley blessed! (Damn I made myself cry! LOL)
DH and I met throught my brother in law. We actually went to high school together but never met. (we were in a class of a little more than 600) We went out to a bar with a group of people and we hit it off and here we are.

I like this post!! FI and I met at the ski area I work for. I was chillin' out by the bar after a couple of good runs on my first day of the season looking for my roommate who I had misplaced. He was down there too waiting for his buddies and he started talking to me. I thought his Texan accent was cute and asked him if he wanted to take some runs, and when I smoked him down the hill he was hooked for life!! We became inseperable after that.
I wasn't even looking to date anyone at the time, but I saw one of those annoying TV commericals for eHarmony and it reminded me I had made a profile months ago. I decided to log in for fun to see who I had been "matched" with...once I saw DH's profile I knew I was in for it.
5 months after meeting we were engaged and we were married a year after that.
I met Hubby at a safety conference in Seaside , OR in October 2001. (We are both safety geeks) He was there for work and I was there with for school. We hit it off at one of the "socials" and hung out the rest of the conference. He went back to Seattle and I went back to Butte, MT but we kept in touch and things went from there.
When I graduated in May 2002, I moved out to WA to be closer to him. We moved in together in March 2003, bought our house in October 2004, engaged Feb 2005 and married September 9, 2005. We added the Peanut in Feb 2007 and now Babe in Dec 2009.
It was my freshman year of college and I was dating a guy that i met at a party and him and DH worked together. I had talked to DH on the phone a couple of times and set him up on a date with one of my friends and we went on a double date. Long story short the guy was a complete jerk and cheated on me and DH was there the for me the whole time. Five years later we are still happily together and expecting our first child
We went to the same high school. He is 4 years older than me. He was a senior when I was a freshman. We weren't good friends or anything but we knew eachother.
Then we met up like 10 years after highschool and got together. We had some mutual friends and hung out in some of the same places so our paths crossed a few times after school.

We met on Eharmony too!! I saw the commercials late one night and I thought "what the hell"... and when I got his profile I knew he was it! Our first date lasted about 10 hours!! We moved in 4 months after, got engaged to months after that, and we were married a year and half after we met! Best money ever spent! ;-)
(Actually I was lame and even put our "success story" on their website... )
We had math class together in High School, my Sophomore year and his Freshman year. We didn't start dating until his senior year though. We have been together 9 1/2 years.
Love reading all the stories. We met through a mutual friend right after I graduated college and couldn't find a job:( I am glad he convinced me to go and hang out that night! The mutual friend was in our wedding three eyars later and here we are expecting our first baby! Perfect matchmaker!

We met on my birthday in 2006 through a video/voice-chat program online where I was a moderator. I saw he was from England and heard him speaking on the mic so I thought I would compliment his accent. He insisted he didn't have one and 6 weeks later he got on a plane for the first time to fly to the States to visit. We decided after the first visit to give a LDR a shot and after several visits back and forth, we got engaged, I moved to the UK and we married in November 2008.
We weren't planning on starting a family until after I had citizenship, but got the news over Easter that we were expecting. We think it was just meant to be!
THe very first time I met DH was when I was in between freshman and Sophmore year of high school. His parents had just moved into my neighborhood and he was home for summer break between his freshman and Soph. year of college. The neighborhood always has this huge crawfish boil. I remember my best friend and I thinking he was just so full of himself. Fast forward about 5 years (10 years ago). The neighborhood had come together to landscape the front entrance. My IL's house is right at the front entrance of the neighborhood. I took my siblings and our black lab for a walk to see what our parents were doing. DH was home from training for the weekend and outside when we walked up. My mom every the match maker says, "Laice you remember Ed don't you." We started talking and hit it off. He came by the house that night to see if I wanted to get a bite to eat. I unfortunately was working. I called him the next day and we got lunch before he headed back to Pensacola. We've been together ever since. Monday is our 7 year wedding anniversay.
We met through mutual friends out of high school in 2003. I was at the park/campground by his house with my cousin who knows him and I had been drinking- anyway ended up actually going out in the woods and making out with someone else that night- he didnt think that was very cool- don't blame him Anyway a month or so later a friend of mine tried to set me up with him since he had just broken up with his girlfriend and I declined cause I was going to be going to college at NDSU 5 hours from where we live but then my dad ended up getting in a car accident so I decided to stay close by for college and was working at a local choke and puke with his sister and she set me up with and we have inseperable ever since!!

We met at the wedding of a mutual friend. So cliche, I know.
Actually, though, we'd met three years earlier, through that same mutual friend, but I don't remember it because I was about 36 sheets to the wind that night. I was visiting said mutual friend and we were at a bar and ran into DH and his girlfriend at the time. DH and our friend were both teachers at the same school. Apparently, we sat down and chatted with DH and his girlfriend and I regaled them with all sorts of drunken college tales about our friend, with whom I'd been roommates. I don't remember any of this. Three years later, said friend was getting married and both DH - who was now single - and I were going to be at the wedding, so he asked our friend to make sure to re-introduce us. He'd remembered me from three years earlier - how sweet! So we were re-introduced at the wedding and I had no idea who he was or any memory of previously meeting him and, at first, had absolutely no interest in him whatsoever. But then I noticed he had a cute butt and decided, eh... what the hell? The rest, as they say, is history!
We went to Jr. High and High School together but were never really friends. I dated his cousin in high school and he dated my best friend. My freshmen year of college we started talking at a party. His old g/f was actually my roomate at the time. It was a little akward the next day when he called the dorm looking for me and she answered!
I worked with his sister and his ex-girlfriend (they remain friends to this day) for awhile and became friend with both of them. When his sister got married, we were both included in a lot of events and started hanging out together a lot. One night, before we even went out on a date, he walked me to my car and just gave me a hug. When I got in my car my legs were shaking, and I thought, boy am I in trouble. I wasn't ready for a relationship and he was leaving in a few months for his job. But we just fit in so many ways. Whenever I was with him, everything just seemed right. About a week later we went out for the first time and we've been together ever since - 9 years!
We originally met about 12 years ago. I was really good friends with his little sister. We were friendly, hung out a few times, but I didn't think much of it. Then we ran into each other at his sister's birthday party in 2007. Both of us asked his sister what was up with the other one. We were both interested immediately. We started seeing each other a week later, moved in together 3 months after that, and got married 5 months after that. :-)
We are high school sweethearts...I was a sophmore and he was a junior. 11.5 years later we are married (yesterday was our wedding anniversary) and having a baby!
My husband and I are fans/season ticket holders for the local JR hockey team. We met at training camp 2006 (early Sept). We were just fans chatting it up. We both went on a few fan bus road trips that fall. By about Christmas time, I was interested, but I thought he was too young for me, so I just left things be. That New Years, we went on another road trip and he had wanted to ask me out, but he chickened out.
In March 2007, we were both going to go on another bus trip (with other friends as our travel partners), when his partner backed out. He didn't want to have to pay extra for a single room, so my friend and I both suggested that he stay with us in our room. I got on the bus and saved a seat for my friend, when he got on and asked if he could sit with me. I couldn't say no, so, when my friend arrived she had to sit behind me. While we were on the neverending bus ride, my friend asked me how my love life was... I said "looking up...I have some prospects". She asked who and I told her the one guys name that I had been out with a few times and said " and >>>" pointing to Kyle sitting beside me. She just laughed! Anyways, we were going to Pittsburg to see the Pens vs. Flyers and when we crossed the border, my seatmate sneaked a peek at my birthdate on my passport (turns out I am 10 yrs older). He didn't care about the age difference. We got together that weekend and he moved in at the beginning of June 2007.
Nov 2007, we bought our house, Dec 2007 we got engaged at dinner before a Buffalo Sabres game, Nov 2008 we had a hockey themed wedding and Nov 2009 we will have our first child. My family always joked that I would NEVER find a guy who loved hockey as much as I do. They have come to see that someone (my DH) actually loves it more! We are perfect for eachother! He's been out of town all week and writing this story makes me realize just how much I missed him. Can't wait to see him tonight!!!

Our story is sooooo WT compared to all of y'all's!!
I was one of the best "men" in my friend's wedding in Indiana, so I flew up there for the bachelor party. I told the groom that I would go under one circumstance: that he got me some booty at the bachelor party! I was in a really bad place, because one of my best friends had just died very suddenly, and I needed a pick-me-up, and a Thursday to Tuesday man-whore was just what I needed
Well, the groom came through... except that by Sunday we agreed that DH would move here to Texas (after he wouldn't let me move to Indiana)... two years later, we were engaged... a year and a half after that, we got married... and our baby is due 2 months before our second wedding anniversary!
*Funny side note: I actually met DH 2 years before I met him! The groom that introduced us drove from IN to New Orleans for my college graduation, and brought his new girlfriend (now his wife) and their friend (now my husband)... we all spent the ENTIRE evening together (which went until 7am) ... and I have no memory of either of them!!
Also, the middle name we have picked out for a boy is the last name of the couple that introduced us.
Does anybody have any ideas how we can explain to the LB how Mama and Daddy met?

DH and I met in a bar. My roommate and I were walking towards the back of the bar to meet up with some friends, and the guy I was "kinda" dating, when we walked past DH. He was sitting down talking to a friend he was with and making hand gestures. Well, when I walked by him, he whacked me in the boob! As I walked past I turned around to give him a dirty look and HE WINKED! Totally out of character for me, I walked back up to him and insisted that the little feel he just copped was not free and he had to buy me a drink! He was shocked, so his friend kind of coached him along. We laughed it off and spent the rest of the night talking and have been together ever since! The best part is, my roommate kept getting be to go back over with our friends saying "He's totally not your type!"

I work with his sister in law. I have heard about him for years. But never met him. My work was throwing a fundraiser and he showed up. That was the first time I saw him. But I was "seeing" someone else and he had this ex-girlfriend he couldn't get rid off so he wasn't looking for a relationship. A month later I was out at the bar with my girl friends and he saw me and came up and said hi. That was it. But all night I kept thinking about him. I couldn't get him out of my head. And I was newly single. So the next day I went into work to talk to his SIL. I had her ask him if he'd be interested in going to a baseball game with me and friends (I had an extra ticket). The game was 2 weeks away. Those 2 weeks went and I never heard anything until the night before the game. His SIL called me and asked me if I still wanted him to go with me. I said of course. The next day at work she gave me his phone number and I called him and he went to the game with us. We had fun. 2 weeks later we hung out again and we were inseperable from that point on. A month later he went on vacation with me and 3 months later we were engaged! And married 8 months later. We'll be happily married 2 years in sept. He's the one for me. I couldn't imagine my life without him.
