Question about teething....I think he might be now...

I can feel a bump in the front now- I don't remember it being there.  Does this bump mean a tooth is coming?

And if it does, anyone know how long I have until the tooth pops out?

    I've always had a hard time knowing when the top teeth are coming.  DS's are about to break through (I think) and I can see the tooth beneath the gum.  Normally, I can feel the hard tooth with my finger, but I can't on the top for some reason.  I don't know if this helps, but his teeth have been noticeable through the gums for about 2 weeks now without popping through.

    Ditto Emer--I've been waiting two weeks for the hard, white speck on his top gums to come through. AND, I have been giving him Tylenol when he overly fussy thinking it's that tooth coming through...we wait...

    Ditto pp's - with the top teeth, I could see the white tooth under the gum before it cut through, for probably close to 2 weeks.  He was pretty miserable.  With the bottom teeth, we couldn't really see them before they cut through but we could feel the little "buds".  Motrin works better for our DS for relieving teething pain, especially before bed.
