Well she had like zero part in Twilight, and since I haven't seen New Moon yet, I can't really say if I agree or not....but I cannot wait until Nov 20th
I see the studios point because Rachelle Lefevre should have told them as soon as she knew. I mean the shooting schedule does not revolve around her.
This---although I hope her new role is pretty good in a big movie because it stinks to miss out on all the publicity from the twilight movies!
She should have a bigger role in New Moon when it comes out and then would have in Eclipse as well---oh well. I had no clue who she was until Twilight anyway so who cares.

She will have a good part in the next two movies I think (basing this off of the book).
I'm pissed. I hate when movies like that change a big character. She released a statement and I think they screwed her over a little because her movie was already scheduled and it was only going to last 10 days into the beginning of the Eclipse shooting ~ and shootings supposed to last for 3 mths.
Im really irked ~ her parts pretty big in Eclipse. I heard they were going to have to up her pay a lot because her parts so much bigger in that one so they recasted to save money

I would almost guarentee that Bryce Dallas Howard is going to get paid more for her experience then they would have been paying Rachelle.
I love bryce howard actually I think she's an amazing actress. Although she plays the softspoken and demure roles most often it will be interesting to see how she does with this.

Summit Entertainment, the studio responsible for the Twilight films, released a statement attacking accusations made by recently ousted actress Rachelle Lefevre on why her part of Victoria was recast.
The studio claims that she made some hasty scheduling decisions, stating:
"We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre?s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts. Ms. Lefevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.
If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes ?passionate,? about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre?s commitment to BARNEY?S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.
Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE?s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production. Contrary to Ms. Lefevre?s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.
The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre?s commitment to the other project - which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment - makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
?Summit Entertainment"
No one in their right mind would risk Twilight for some raggedy indie film!
Then, replaced by the daughter of an A-list director?
Eh, this doesn't really bother me. But I didn't love the first Twilight movie (as a whole) anyway. But maybe she'll be really outstanding in New Moon and I'll be disappointed that she's not in Eclipse.
I think she tried to get away with doing both and got busted. My local radio station was talking about her the other morning - they talked to her when some of the cast stopped in the Twin Cities on the Twilight movie press tour and they said she was snobby and had kind of a diva attitude, even though nobody really knew who she was (I mean, come on, how many of us knew her by name before this week)? So maybe she was just difficult to work with, too.
I'm pretty sure that Bryce Dallas Howard will cost them more than she did.

I wasn't happy with the casting of Victoria to begin with- she was far too blonde. Bryce Howard at least has the proper hair colour, I'm curious to see how she does.
That said? I don't get the obsession over Twilight. Alright, the books (and yes, I read the entire series) were okay. But really? It wasn't that great.
