I don't know why, but we have a really hard time keeping her base from tilting to one side. DH and I are constantly adjusting the bases in both of our cars, but even right after we adjust them, it still tilts to one side. DH's solution is to just put her car seat on the side of the car instead of the middle, since this is where we're having the problem with it, but I'd rather keep her in the middle if we can. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Re: Having problems with car seat tilting...
Yep, we had it inspected and professionally installed before DD was even born, but over time and use it started coming looser, so we've had to re-adjust it ourselves. We have the fun noodle things under it, and the people who installed it for use used those from the start, but they don'tt seem to help with the tilting problem.
We have a snugride
Yes, we are in the same exact boat: Snugride in the middle, was professionally installed and tilts. I hate it and don't know what to do about it. People always comment on it too if they ride with us. We have a Mercedes ML350. I don't know what to do and am curious to see what others say.
I am a certified inspector- use the locking clip to lock the seatbelt instead of the seatbelt's locking retractor. What happens when you use the retractor is that the seatbelt continues to retract and that's what's pulling it up on one side.
