Fluid check before induction

I'm being induced on Monday due to pre-e and I'm scheduled for a fluid check tomorrow.  I'm really nervous about it because a needle into my belly seems scary (I didn't have an amnio).  Anyone have any experience with this??

    I had fluid checked during BPP U/Ss not with a needle. Good Luck.

    Ditto, I was sent for a fluid check and it was just an ultrasound... I have never heard of it being done with a needle.

    My fkuid checks are weekly and they are also through ultrasound. are they doing an amnio fluid check for the lung development?
