Biting question

So as of today, I've noticed bite marks on my DD (who is 18 months old with only 4 teeth) on her arms.  I actually witnessed her biting her arm while still in her crib (after nap). So is this normal?  Has anyone else experienced this?  I'm hoping she's teething and it feels good to bite down on something (not sure why that would feel good :)) and not something else I should be worried about.

    I"m starting to believe this is normal.  DS will bite/suck his arm from time to time.  A friend of mine has 2 boys who both did this.  As long as she isn't hurting herself to the point she starts crying, I wouldn't worry.
