Anyone on anti anxiety medication?

I'm thinking about maybe asking my doc for something. I feel like I am caving in and not being strong but sometimes I think it would be helpful. I have a friend who went through IF and took Lorazepam. What do you take? What is your opinion about it?

I am not on anti-anxiety meds at this time but I know that I should be. This is something I really need to talk to my doctor about ASAP.

i'm not, but i have started doing an hour of yoga each day and it is absolutely miraculous in its effect on my state of mind--and you don't have to worry about the medicine being bad for the baby if you do get pregnant!

I took prozac all of last year, I don't think I would have made it through the year without it. I definitely have more of an anxiety problem than a depression problem, but my doc said prozac was the safest thing to take and would help with both.

I also had counseling throughout the year with a therapist and I also saw a relaxation therapist. Now all I take is xanax, which I probalby take one a month if that but it helps on the days were I feel like I am going to jump out of my skin.

I take Lorazepam aka Ativan. I also have Xanax and was on Zoloft a few years ago. I like the Ativan/Xanax much better than having to take a pill everyday. I only take it when I get an anxiety attack (which has been quite few as of late) but it works wonders.
